StackPilot is a no-account recommendation builder. You can use it without creating a login or sending private customer records.

No account needed

The builder does not require a user account. StackPilot creates a recommendation session so it can generate your result page and understand which tool suggestions were shown.

Recommendation data

When you use the builder, StackPilot may store the answers needed to create your recommendation, such as business type, business stage, main goal, budget band, skill level, country or region, whether you need bookings or payments, and whether you sell services, products, or both.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the builder. It is designed for general business context, not private customer records, financial details, health information, passwords, or confidential client data.

Affiliate click tracking

When you click a tool link, StackPilot may route the click through an internal tracking URL before sending you to the affiliate link or official website.

For affiliate clicks, StackPilot may log:

  • the tool clicked
  • the source page
  • the related recommendation session, if available
  • the timestamp of the click
  • a shortened/anonymised IP signal, if available
  • user-agent or browser information, if available

StackPilot shortens IP addresses before storing them. For example, an IPv4 address has its final number replaced with zero, and an IPv6 address is reduced to a broader prefix.

Why this is stored

This information helps generate and display recommendation results, run basic analytics, understand which recommendations are useful, maintain affiliate reporting, spot broken links, and help prevent abuse. StackPilot does not use this data to create user accounts.

Affiliate click tracking is separate from optional analytics cookies. It helps StackPilot understand which tool links are clicked and whether recommendations are useful.

Optional analytics cookies

If you choose to allow analytics cookies, StackPilot uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, such as page visits and traffic sources, and to improve recommendations over time.

The current GA4 measurement ID is G-LVR5TDHCNR. GA4 is not loaded until you accept analytics cookies.

You can change your analytics choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Retention

Recommendation data and affiliate click analytics may be kept for a limited period to run the service, understand usage, improve recommendations, and prevent abuse. Click analytics are intended to be periodically reviewed and removed when no longer needed.

Affiliate click analytics are intended to be kept for no longer than needed, with a default review window of up to 365 days. StackPilot has an internal cleanup command that can remove older click records; this is a manual operational task rather than user profiling.

Pricing and external websites

Tool prices, free plans, limits, features, and privacy practices can change. Free plans may include usage caps, branding, restricted support, or missing features. Check each tool's current pricing page before signing up or entering payment details. Some tool links may be affiliate links, and when you leave StackPilot for a third-party website, that website's own privacy policy applies.
